In this video review we will share our first impressions of the budget-friendly Lumia 820.

Nokia launched it as the successor of the Lumia 800. The 820 continues the established Lumia appearance and is available in a whole bunch of vibrant case colors. These are yellow, red, blue, purple, white, grey and black. Not being an exception from the general rule this one is also quite bulky and solid. It is 1 cm thick and weighs 160gr.

The 4.3-inch diagonal display here works at the average pixel resolution of 800×480.

The 4.3-inch diagonal display here works at the average pixel resolution of 800×480. These are not figures to impress but thanks to the AMOLED technology it delivers a nice and sharp picture, sensitive and well-responsive even with gloves on.

The performance of this Windows Phone 8 gadget is supported by a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, facilitated by1GB of system memory. The graphics processing unit on board is Qualcomm Adreno 225.

The 8MP base camera features Carl Zeiss optics and delivers images at the output pixel quality of 3264×2448. Its powerful power dual LED flash covers evenly a wide area. The second, front camera delivers a VGA quality at 640×480 pixels.

Connectivity abilities on the Lumia 820 include the NFC technology. Just like their top-notch member the 920, this Lumia member is also capable of wireless charging, but for that purpose you will need to purchase the special Nokia charging plate. The wireless charging is easy and quick but the trouble comes from the fact that you need to interrupt the charging process if someone calls.

The 8GB onboard user-available storage can be boosted via the micro SD card slot where you can add up to 64GB more. The 820 comes with a 1650mAh removable battery piece: it provides around 60 hours of music playback time and a maximum of 8 hours of talk time on 3G.
