After we came to know LG’s flagship – the G2 in a series of video reviews it’s time to pay attention to another high-end smartphone by the same brand. This is LG Optimus G Pro.
Its 0.25-inch profile houses the big 5.5-inch screen
The first thing we instantly liked was the design of this device and more specifically how slim it is. Its 0.25-inch profile houses the big 5.5-inch screen in a shell weighing just a little over 0.3 pounds. Taking a look at back panel almost made us experience a deja-vu. I think we have seen this distinctive texture somewhere else, or at least something very similar. Oh that’s right this 3d-like pattern was also used for the back of the Google Nexus 4 handset. This design element is indeed what makes the handset very attractive, breaking the otherwise boring plastic design. There is also a silver metallic trimming along the edges and the camera lens on the back. The overall build quality is good, although I had a hard time handling the device or its 3-inch width in particular.

The density of the pixels here is 401ppi. Actually the viewing experience on this big screen is great as it is sharp, bright and the colors are tru-life. The IPS technology supports wide viewing angles even outside. This phone, or more correctly – phablet, is ideal for watching videos and movies because its huge screen space doesn’t tire out the eyes. The exact resolution is 1920×1080 pixels.
